I have been a fan of the Crocs clog for years and like anyone who has worn any pair of Crocs for some time, I can tell you they are the most comfortable and durable shoes around. For comparison, I used to wear Birkenstock all the time. These crocs are half the price and last twice as long, without any of the loss in comfort I experienced after 2-3 months with the more expensive brands. If you have to be on yoour feet for any length of time, Crocs really make a noticeable improvement in terms of leg/foot fatigue.
As for the Santa Cruz, Same great comfort, but the canvas upper certainly is not as durable as the original clog. It has loose threads around the edges after only minimal wear (I know it comes with fringe; these are loose threads as a result of normal wear and tear).
It does look a whole lot better than the original clog (worlds of difference), and after 2 months the loose threads are really only around the heel, and it still looks just as good.

Very comfortable. I have hot feet and these are great because they are super breathable and don't stink.

I've worn these shoes for 10 weeks, just about every day. I bought them because they seemed very comfortable. I remain totally pleased in that regard, which is not always the case with new shoes.
These canvas crocs are not for formal occasions. They start out with ragged edges and they get a bit more ragged as threads get free, but they are holding up well, structurally. I fully intend to buy another pair, just can't decide on the color.

Pros: Look good (especially in black) with jeans and are really casual. They are really comfortable and easy to wear slip on and whatnot. Walking is comparable to walking on pillows.
Cons: The fabric starts to come off on the edges and rubs on the back a bit. Little flimsy but thats probably due to size (I think tight fit would be best dont go a little loose).
Otherwise these are great shoes, very light and easygoing

As the title says, this is my first pair of Crocs. I have been looking for a shoe like this for a long time. I'm a pool cleaner in Austin, TX, and I haven't been able to find a shoe that is as comfortable as these. I'm on my feet almost all day, and my shoes are constantly getting wet and dirty. I refuse to wear sandals, as I tend to be on the clumbsy side and I'm pretty partial to my toes. With the removable insole and breathable canvas, these are easy to keep clean and don't get that funky smell after a few days. I used to wear Sperrys to work, as I don't like wearing socks, but these are so much more comfortable right out of the box. These do tend to run smaller than other shoes, so if you wear an 11 in men's, then you are going to want to get a 10. As far as I'm concerned this is the perfect shoe for any pool guy.
